One person was killed after a motorcycle accident that occurred in Bethlehem Township.

According to officials, the accident occurred as a 32-year-old man was traveling eastbound down the roadway at a speed that officials have called “excessive.” The man then lost control of the vehicle causing it to crash.

WTRF reports that the man was thrown from the vehicle as a result of the collision. He was airlifted to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in order to be treated, but he later succumbed to injuries sustained.

A woman is currently facing charges in a motorcycle accident that took the life of one man in October.

According to officials, the accident occurred in Fairview Township when a 29-year-old was traveling on West 21st Street and she failed to stop at the stop sign.

She then pulled out onto the roadway in the path of a Suzuki motorcycle. The motorcyclist was unable to stop and they collided. The motorcyclist was killed in the crash. The woman and her male passenger were uninjured in the accident.

She is facing charges of careless driving and failure to stop at a stop sign. She is also facing charges of driving under the influence after marijuana was found in her system.
